Since ancient times
Architectural decorations or the so called embossed ornamental facade and interior decorations have a long history. The decoration of walls, facades and ceilings with decoration elements of various forms is a long architectural tradition. These refined ornaments were used even in ancient Rome and Greece. During the years they have been produced after all trends- Classicism, Rennaissance, Baroque, Rococo, Empire and Modernism and were astounding with their beauty and uniqueness. For ages the art of creation and use of such elements have been developing not only artistically, but also technologically. In the past ornamental decorations for facades and interior might have been created only for palaces, castles and museums because of the huge funds and spaces necessary; but today thanks to the modern production materials and technologies, this type of decoration can be much cheaper and more practical. The new modern- looking, light and cheaper polymeric decoration materials have entered many modern buildings, both residential and public. It is here that we need to mention the great contribution of the modern decorative ornaments in restorations of old buildings, architectural and historical sites of various styles.
